The B.Tech programme is of 4 years duration.

Regular: classes shall be held on weekdays (Monday to Friday) from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

The student strength in every programme is 60 in each academic year.


The Department of Architecture and Planning started in 2015 as a step towards social equity and gender parity in technical professions, having a vision that architectural education should empower students to become protagonist of positive change by exploring, learning and practicing a sustainable form of architecture. The architectural education must, besides imparting knowledge, also endeavor to create opportunities for students to engage with real life issues, so that they can reflect on their role in creating a better world. Further, it is also important that students are empowered to make informed choices, which are more life-sustaining. The department aims at development of the individual girl as a responsible member of peaceful, pluralist and inclusive society by learning to explore and practicing quality, sustainable form of architecture. 

Master of Technology

The University offers Regular Master progammmes in the following disciplines:

1.       M.Tech(Information Security Management)

2.       M.Tech(Mobile & Pervasive Computing)

3.       M.Tech(Robotics and Automation) 

4.       M.Tech(VLSI Design)

The duration of the course is 2 years for regular programmes.

USP of M.Tech Programs

Industry relevant courses in cutting edge technology areas are being offered through these M.Tech programs from 2013-14.  The intake of each course is 30 students.  The program has a strong E-learning component offering a wide range of electives delivered by experts and eminent academicians from IIT’s, IISc Bangalore and prestigious foreign University through

-  NPTEL (National Program on Technology Enhanced Learning)

-  Coursera, an on-line education platform,

-  Edx, the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) consortium started by MIT, Harward and UC, Berkeley supporting

   open courseware of prestigious foreign University and interactive online classes in subjects including engineering

   and technology.

M.Tech program in Information Security Management (ISM)

Cyber crimes are on the rise and therefore, our M.Tech in Information Security & Management will develop expertise in the area of cyber security.  The M.Tech (ISM) Programme shall address the following challenges:

-    To understand both technical and non-technical aspects of information security by creating necessary situational awareness regarding threats to ICT infrastructure.

-    To identify emerging cyber threats and develop ways to mitigate those threats that help software to resist attacks, even in the event of a new vulnerability

-   To develop innovative technologies for addressing the most serious cyber threats to protect critical information infrastructures

- To develop security solutions by using appropriate security techniques & technology for safeguarding organizational assets

IGDTU plans to set up Cyber Forensic Lab for the M.Tech program and the students can be trained to become Cyber security Analysts, Information Security Auditors, Risk Analysts, Data Analyst and cyber forensic experts.

M.Tech program in VLSI Design

There is a huge global potential for growth of electronic hardware industry.  It is estimated that the hardware industry will touch $2.4 Trillion by 2020 globally and the demand for the Indian market that is presently $45 Billion is expected to touch $400 Billion by 2020.  Hence to meet this growing demand of electronic product designers IGDTU has introduced a course on M.Tech in VLSI Design.  IGDTU is in the process of partnering with Texas Instruments and CoreEL for setting up state of the art Labs in our University.  The University has already set up a lab in Embedded Systems Design in collaboration Atmel.

M.Tech program in Mobile and Pervasive Computing

The demand for mobile computing has surpassed desktop computing in the last 5 years and many mobile devices like smart phones, digital tablets and touch screen laptops are in common use.  Therefore, IGDTU has introduced an M.Tech program in Mobile and Pervasive Computing to produce specialists in the area of Mobile & Wireless Communication to deal with new paradigms in pervasive and ubiquitous computing using the concept of Cloud computing.  IGDTU has collaborated with Nokia, Intel and ARM to set up state-of-the-art labs in Mobile Computing.

M.Tech program in Robotics and Automation

Indiais emerging as a major auto component manufacturing hub in the global market and is growing at the rate of 30% per year.  This program enables students to gain expertise in the next generation of robots, industrial robots and automation systems, thus facilitating their application and adoption in the manufacturing sector.  The M.Tech program in Robotics & Automation will also ensure the placement of students in various companies.  It has been started with a vision to increase the versatility, autonomy and rapid retasking of intelligent robots and automation technologies for smart manufacturing and applications.

The two-year programme covers various areas such as manufacturing automation, robotic engineering, mechatronics, computer-aided manufacturing, computer aided design, computer integrated manufacturing, flexible manufacturing systems and machine vision etc.

Almost all the automobile engineering companies use robots in their paint and welding shops.  Therefore, robotics and automation technologies are in demand nowadays as they offer flexibility and enhance productivity in the manufacturing industry.  DMRC engineers make heavy use of mechatronics in the control of metros and almost all cars are equipped with sensors, remote key entry and use microcontrollers in their Engine Management Systems (EMS) and fuel injection systems.  So, students will have a variety of options to choose from once they complete the course.

Weekend programme for working professionals

 Electronics and Communication Engineering(ECE)

 Weekend classes shall be held on weekends (Saturday & Sunday) from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

 The duration of the course is 3 years.

Master of Computer Applications

Department of IT has introduced a postgraduate MCA programme from the Academic session 2011-2012 with an annual intake of 60 students.

The MCA course helps an individual to grab the request amount of knowledge both technical and academic that after 3 yrs an outgoing MCA post-graduate student is ready to face any challenge in the industry.

The student strength is 60 in each year.
