MHT-CET 2017

The Government of Maharashtra has established "Admissions Regulating Authority and State Common Entrance Test Cell" as per the provisions of the Maharashtra Unaided Private Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions & Fees) Act. 2015 (Mah. Act No. XXVIII of 2015).

MHT-CET 2017 will be conducted on Thursday, 11th May 2017 in the following cities:

Mumbai, Mumbai Sub Urban, Thane, Palghar, Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurga, Jalgaon, Dhule, Nandurbar, Nashik, Ahmednagar, Pune, Satara, Sangli, Kolhapur, Solapur, Aurangabad, Jalna, Beed, Osmanabad, Nanded, Parbhani, Latur, Hingoli, Buldhana, Akola, Washim, Amravati, Yavatmal, Wardha, Nagpur, Bhandara, Gondia, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli.

Test Timings  :  10:00 a.m. to 04:30 p.m.

"Common Entrance Test" MHT-CET 2017 for admission to First Year of Full Time Degree Courses ofTechnical Education (Engineering and Technology, Pharmacy and Pharm. D.) for the academic year 2017-2018.

Important Notes

Once you finish your registration for MHT-CET 2017 you shall be provided with a unique MHT-CET 2017 Registration No.

  • Please ensure that you provide a valid email id and mobile no.
  • Please ensure that you use your personal email id and mobile no. while filling the application form.
  • Please note that Email / SMS to candidate and candidate profile on (Accessed by MHT-CET Registration No. & password) will be the standard mode of communication.
  • Remember the password entered by you during the application form filling.
  • The email id and mobile no. that you enter in the registration form will be treated as your primary contact details and all communications will be sent to the same.
  • Please add, as trusted sources in the anti-Spam software of your email. Otherwise, either you will not receive important emails or they will get delivered to your Spam/junk folder.
  • Please access your emails regularly and ensure that your inbox is accessible.
  • Please note that the MHT-CET Registration No. and password gives you an individual login on and on frequent intervals, you need to check for any new information from MHT-CET.

Note: If you do not receive the confirmation email / SMS within 24 hours of registering, please check your spam/junk folder just in case the confirmation email got delivered there instead of your inbox. If you are unable to locate the email, please write to citing your primary email id or call us up on (022) - 22652261 / 22652262 between 10.00 am and 6.00 pm on all working days.Candidates should note that it is mandatory for them to bring the printout of the Admit Card, valid Photo ID proof for identity verification on the day of examination.

Registration Procedure

  • MHT-CET 2017 Registration

    In order to register online for MHT-CET, the candidate has to visit the website and click "Apply Online". The MHT-CET 2017 Registration page opens up wherein he/she has to fill-in the online form. The information to be provided includes personal details and uploading of your recent colour passport size photograph and signature.

  • Complete Form

    The candidate will be prompted to enter his/her valid email id, mobile No. and a password on the first login. All these three must be carefully noted and retained by the candidate for all future correspondence with MHT-CET Office, downloading MHT-CET Admit card etc. at
    The candidate continues and completes his / her education details.

    Please note that the Candidates Name, Father's Name, Date of Birth, Email ID and Mobile No. once registered can not be modified.

  • Upload Photograph and Signature

    Please note that all the applicants are required to upload their scanned(digital) recent colour photograph and signature and the file size of each of the Photograph should be between 15kb to 50kb and that of Signature should be between 5kb to 20kb. The online application system will not allow to upload files smaller/larger than the mentioned sizes. All Candidates have to upload his / her Photograph and Signature only in "Jpg/Jpeg" format and file name of Photograph and Signature should preferably be photo.jpeg and sign.jpeg respectively.

    • For Uploading Photograph
    • Take your recent colour passport size photograph digitally. The picture should be taken against a light/white background. In case the face on the photograph is not clear , your application is liable to be rejected.

    • File size of the Photograph should be between 15 KB to 50 KB in jpeg format, otherwise it will not be allowed by the System to upload.

    • To reduce the size, crop the image of the passport size photograph in MS Paint or any other Photo Editor.

    • Please ensure that only the full face portion is cropped and not the entire photograph.

    • For Uploading Signature
    • The candidate himself/herself should sign( no capital letters) on a white paper with a black ink pen.

    • Scan the signature in 200 dpi( dots per inch) scanner resolution settings and the file size should be between 5 KB to 20 KB in jpeg format.

    • To reduce the size, crop the image of the signature in MS Paint or any other Photo Editor. Please ensure that only the signature portion is cropped and not the entire A4 paper on which you have signed.

    Once the photograph and signature files are uploaded by the candidate successfully, the system will show on the screen the Photograph and Signature that has been uploaded. If these have been correctly uploaded, you should now proceed further to make payment through the online payment mode.

    How to ensure that the Photograph is within 50 KB and Signature is within 50 KB per file?

    • Should you have a digital or scanned photograph and signature, please open the same in MS Paint by right clicking the photographs
    • Press Ctrl + W ,a window will open which will have an option 'resize by %'. Here enter anything between 10 to 50% and save the file with an extension .jpeg.
    • Check for the size of the file in 'properties'. If the file size is still higher than the required file size, once again open in paint and resize it to bring it down to the desired size.
    • Repeat this process till the file size is less than the desired size.

    Save this file with the file Name as mentioned above as photo.jpeg and sign.jpeg

  • MHT-CET 2017 Application Payment :
    • Application form processing fees as stated below is to be paid through online system only by Credit Card/ Debit Card (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets for which the service charges, as per rules, shall be applicable in addition to the application form processing fees.
    • No other mode of payment shall be permitted.
    • This fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.
    • For General Category Candidates from Maharashtra State, Outside Maharashtra State (OMS), J & K Migrant candidates₹800/- + Payment Gateway Charges
      Candidates of Backward Class Categories [SC, ST, VJ/DT- NT(A), NT(B), NT(C), NT(D), OBC, SBC] and Persons with Disability Candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only.₹600/- + Payment Gateway Charges
  • Complete Form:

    On successful payment of the application fee, a confirmation of the same will be displayed online. Candidates are advised to print the receipt for future references. Now click on the "Generate MHT-CET 2017 Registration Confirmation Page" to generate the MHT-CET 2017 Registration Confirmation Page. Please save this and also take a print out of the same. This completes the Registration process.

  • Keeping a copy of MHT-CET 2017 Application No. & Password :

    The candidate is advised to keep a copy of MHT-CET 2017 Registration Confirmation Page printout. Please quote the MHT-CET 2017 Application No. in all future correspondence with the MHT-CET Office.

  • Download Admit Card :

    For Admit Card, the candidate has to visit our website any time between 24th April 2017 to 10th May 2017 and take a print out of the same where your MHT-CET 2017 Roll No. and the address of the test centre will be mentioned along with other registration details.
